Bloom – Radiator Copper Light

This floor standing lamp was designed and made by Emma Whiteside in 2007, during her second year at university.

The shades are made from automotive radiator copper and partially covered in clear silicon to stop the 12V circuit, turning off a light when placed in the right position within the cluster of blooms.

This lamp was an inspiration for her later work in 2009 on the garment Queen Adelaide for World of Wearable Arts.
