
Emma Whiteside is an award winning New Zealand Designer and entrepreneur. Originally from Auckland, Emma is now based in Wellington where she graduated from Victoria University with a Bachelor of Design.
Although trained as an Industrial Designer, Emma has had experience in a wide range of areas including manufacturing, project co-ordination, spatial and web design. Emma enjoys working not only on the details of projects, but also the overall strategic picture and enjoys getting her hands dirty to make a project successful.
In previous lives Emma has worked as an Industrial Designer for future concepts at Showerbuddy Global Ltd, started a Wellington based design studio called White Bus Design, and been an “Innovative Solutions Developer” for Grow Wellington and Windsor Engineering.
Emma is currently working at Vodafone as a Business Provisioning Specialist applying her varied knowledge to the world of Telecommunications. Although her current role is quite different to Emma’s previous design work, she finds joy in applying her design thinking to processes involved in big business.
When Emma is not working on her passion for design, she can be found being thrown off horses, snowboarding, dancing or driving around a race track!
